In case you were wondering, no AVRCP in iOS 4 Golden Master

by Justin Horn on Jun 9th, 2010 @ 1:39 am

UPDATE It looks like the wait is finally over, full AVRCP coming in iOS 4.1!

The title says it all. Unfortunately I was correct back in early April when I said, “Looks like no AVRCP coming in iPhone 4.0″. I hope this is still on the todo list, even if it is a low priority.

I can’t understand why apple is not implementing this. At first, I thought it was a part of AD2P and tested several headphones (thinking it was headphones fault) before I realized there was something wrong with the iphone itself.

Perhaps in the final release of iOS4…

The GM version is the final version that will ship soon to everyone, so looks like 4.1 at the earliest
