Looks like no AVRCP coming in iPhone 4.0
by Justin Horn on Apr 8th, 2010 @ 3:28 pmUPDATE 3 It looks like the wait is finally over, full AVRCP coming in iOS 4.1!
UPDATE 2 Unfortunately I was right, no AVRCP in final iOS 4
UPDATE Still no AVRCP in beta 2
Just gave iPhone OS 4.0 a whirl with my Motorola S9-HDs and there is still no AVRCP support. Not a huge deal, but disappointing as I know a lot of people are waiting for this.
They did one add tweak to the A2DP headphone connection, you can now make slight adjustments to the audio on the iPhone itself. You can see the new volume control in the iPod app while connect to A2DP headphones. Currently it just outputs at a fixed volume and leaves the volume controls to the headphones themselves. This fixed volume has worked fine for me, but there are probably some places where it would be nice to also fine tune it on the phone.

My Liquidaux outputs at a low volume so more vol control is nice. I hope I can crank it up a bit.
