Tell us when the next iPhone firmware will come out
by Justin Horn on Jan 27th, 2009 @ 12:00 pmUPDATE 2: After watching the iPhone 3.0 software event we definitely think the next update will be 3.0 coming this summer… when in summer? we don’t know… do you? cast your vote in our new iPhone 3.0 firmware poll
UPDATE Looks like iPhone 2.3 will never be. The rumored March event is for iPhone 3.0 software leading us to believe the next jump from 2.2.1 will be 3.0 and not 2.3, although anything is possible. Luckily this poll cover whatever the next release is!
A surprise 2.2.1 update (read more) was just released on January 27, 2009.
This was a minor release and explains why we didn’t hear anything from developers since no new features were introduced for them to test. Now the focus returns back to the next big release!
Will the next big firmware update be version 2.3 and come out towards the end of March with some new features or will we have to wait for a huge 3.0 update which coincides with the release of the third generation iPhone?
Gives us your thoughts on your predictions below!
