2nd gen iPod Touch shipped with firmware 2.1.1
by Chiyin on Sep 16th, 2008 @ 9:17 pmSomething interesting has come to our attention… Apparently the new iPod Touch has firmware 2.1.1 instead of 2.1… As you can see in a picture Dizzy took at the 5th Ave Apple Store… However the update is not available for the first gen Touch, I just tried to update one and it said that 2.1 is the most current version
So is Apple releasing the firmware at a later time? Or is that a version specific for the new iPod Touch? This is starting to get confusing. Lets hope they don’t screw up by releasing too many versions…
