UPDATE You can visit m.google.com/voice to download the app to your Blackberry, unfortunately visiting this page from the iPhone gives you the following.

I was just searching the app store Monday looking for an official Google Voice iPhone app, but to my dismay there wasn’t one. I double checked the Google Mobile app to see if they snuck it in there, but no luck. There is some good news though…TechCrunch is reporting that there are official apps coming to Blackberry and Android:

Two apps are being released tomorrow morning, for Blackberry and Android phones. The Android app is the most complete and takes over the native dialer, address book and call log. Users won’t be bothered with accidentally dialing numbers through the device phone number. The Blackberry app is less integrated, accessing only the native address book, and uses its own dialer. Users can’t simply go into the call log and return missed calls. They need to go back to the address book and select Google Voice to make the call. Still, it solves a big problem.

So hopefully it’s only a matter of time before we get a official iPhone app!

If you can’t wait for an official app you do have 2 choices via third party developers, both for $2.99.

The first is GV Mobile (iTunes Link) which gives you the ability to do almost everything you could do on the Google Voice website. They also have a free version called GV Mobile Free (iTunes Link Free Version) which limits the functionality to just making outbound calls from your iPhone contact list. The other app is VoiceCentral (iTunes Link) which provides most (if not all?) of the same features GV Mobile does. VoiceCentral does provide support for those still on GrandCentral system which GV Voice does not, but it will only be a matter of time before Google forces everyone onto the new Google Voice system.

MobileCrunch has a nice comparison review between the two which is worth checking out if you are interested in purchasing these apps.  Here is their conclusion:

It’s a bit tough to recommend one application over the other when what we’re seeing isn’t the absolute final release. However – judging solely on what we have in front of us, we’d recommend GV Mobile.
