32 GB iPhone coming this week?

The timing is certainly weird and there hasn’t been much information leading up to this. Could this be Apple’s counter to the release of the first Android phone? T-Mobile has invited the press to attend an event on September 23rd where they will unveil a phone running Google’s mobile OS. So this could be a tactic to draw attention away from Android and back to the iPhone… This is going to be an interesting week…

How long was it with the first gen iPhone after release till they went from 4/8 to 8/16 and lowered the price? Guess it’s not too far fetched, but I think we would see this closer towards the end of the year than next week.
