Let’s rock with apple on september 9th!
by Justin Horn on Sep 3rd, 2008 @ 10:31 amWe all knew it was coming in september and now we know when. The “Let’s Rock” event to be held on September 9th in San Francisco at 10AM PT. There isn’t really an official word on what the event is about, but the accompanying image and name leads me to believe this is an iPod event.
I believe with the problems apple ran into with iPhone 3g / mobile me / app store simultaneous release they would want to release products in waves. Hopefully the macbook refresh isn’t too far behind so I can start programming some native apps!
I think there is a high probability we will also see an iTunes 8 announcement as predicted by Kevin Rose during this event. There are also rumors that the price is going to drop with the new iPods to keep in line with the iPhone. I don’t really understand that reasoning since at&t is footing a portion of the iPhone price and you have to sign a 2-year contract, but I’m not complaining!
