Apple Q1 2009 earnings today at 5pm EST
by Justin Horn on Jan 21st, 2009 @ 3:18 pmI’m not going to go into predictions, but if you are into that Macrumors has a nice quick summary. You can listen to the earnings call on the Apple Website.
My one note on all of this is the lack of app store discussion. The app store saw a huge spike in sales following Christmas most likely due to a jump in iPod Touch sales. Apple is only taking in 30% of the sales, but with the huge numbers the App Store is posting it seems like a noteworthy revenue stream that will only grow more in the future as more apps are developed and more iPhones / iPod Touches sold.
Hopefully durning the call today Apple will discuss the success of the App Store so the analyst that a lot of investor follow blindly can take note!
Here’s to hoping the stock doesn’t tank in after hours
