google earth now available on the iPhone
by Justin Horn on Oct 27th, 2008 @ 1:11 amWell the google connection with the iPhone got another boost today with the release of Google Earth for iPhone. The support site with the user guide is up, but the main google earth mobile site isn’t even up yet. So far it seems pretty cool and functions similar to the regular version.
Some of the cool things with the iPhone version vs the standard one:
- Angle view by position of the iPhone using accelerometer. Put it flat on a desk for a standard view or pick it up to see the more 3d view.
- Tap into the GPS and pinpoint your location
- Multitouch screen… Especially the 2 finger rotate!
