apple putting some heat on microsoft
by Chiyin on Jun 22nd, 2008 @ 6:07 pmas more information about snow leopard becomes available it seems like apple is adding some nifty features into the os that will leave microsoft playing catch up… first they announced Grand Central and now they are adding ZFS to the server version of snow leopard… the heat is definitely on for billy and his gang…

how much is att paying for each iphone?
by Chiyin on Jun 20th, 2008 @ 3:02 pmapparently att is paying a good chunk of money for each iphone… reports are saying their cost is about $325 for each phone… $125 more than the usual $200 carriers usually pay… there are also talk about att paying apple an additional $100 for each customer that sign up at an apple store… all in all apple is going to be making a ton of money…

Apple / AT&T settle lawsuit with Klausner
by Justin Horn on Jun 16th, 2008 @ 10:00 pmI remember reading about this months ago and thinking no way could these jerks at Klausner pull this off. They were suing because they have a patent for a very non specific idea for visual voicemail that was never made into a working product. I guess it’s just the way things go, you spend like 1 million to win or 500k to pay someone off. Well it looks like Apple / AT&T decided to go with “pay someone off”. I also find it hard to believe you can pantent such broad and basic ideas.
