sharing a ride with fellow iphone users… and non iphone users too

says...

A new iPhone app from Avego will help users trace their comute route and find people with a similar path to share a ride, basically car pool 2.0, using the app and internet to find people willing to ride with you…  The app will also keep track of how far the passanger needs to travel and gives you direction to the destination… And from what I saw in the demo video looks like it keeps tab of the cost too… here is the video

Interesting idea… We’ll soon see a fleet of “taxi” drivers with their iPhones… riight

Storm coming on the 21st, maybe iPhone 2.2 rumored date is right?

says...

The new blackberry storm is coming out on November 21st. So maybe apple will be releasing the iPhone 2.2 firmware on the 21st to steal the spotlight from blackberry. I think this would be a great move on apple’s part and pretty funny too. Either way the sooner I get 2.2 the better :)

wake me up before you gogo…inflight wifi comes to AA

says...

As I’m sure you know inflight wifi has been a hot topic this year and has been available on one of the largest US airlines, American Airlines, via Gogo for a several months now. It is only available on select flights, but I’m sure in the next 12-24 months this is going to be huge. Miami (MIA) to New York (JFK) is on that short list so it looks like I need to go visits 5th ave apple in the big apple again! Gogo is only available on AA, but will soon be coming to Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, and Virgin America. (continue reading…)

att free iPhone wifi, that took like 33 seconds

says...

I’ve heard some people say it’s a pain and all, but honestly for free wifi at a decent speed it isn’t bad at all. I have the full lazy blog guide (aka pics) to the process after the break. The timestamps show the progress, but I didn’t think to show a connected screen shot (google) until a couple mins later. (continue reading…)

att offers free wifi access to iPhone users

says...

If you are an iPhone user in the US, you probably received a text message yesterday informing that attwifi is available for free to all iPhone users at thousands of locations. There were rumors about this a few months ago just before the launch of the new phone. Back then the reason for giving free wifi access was to take a load off the EDGE network, which is probably why the rumor didn’t come true, people migrated to new phone and took off the load that the wifi was supposed to take care of. However it seems that now the 3G network might be going through a similar situation. Could this be att way’s of handling too many people using their 3G network? It’s also interesting they are doing this now when they are about to launch the new Blackberry Bold… Thoughts anyone?

Here is a screenshot of the text message…
