UPDATE 6
When Will Apple? review of the of the new Mophie Juice Pack 3g

UPDATE 5 [11.06.08]
Never thought it was going to happen, but it’s finally shipping! (more…)

UPDATE 4 [10.30.08]
Well it’s now October 30th and my juice pack still hasn’t shipped! The mophie site now says November 7th for preorders before the 9th and November 14th for everyone else. I’m not holding my breath on that date though because it has now been delayed over a month. I’m just hoping to get it before new years!

UPDATE 3
“We have encountered a slight delay from Apple so the 3G Juice Pack will begin shipping October 15th, with all preorders shipping first.”
Mophie Juice Pack 3g Delayed 2 weeks

UPDATE 2
I have confirmed with Chad that the ship date is still October 1st for early preorders

“The 3G Juice Pack is still being release on October 1st, however all preorders placed after 9/8 will ship on October 15th.”

UPDATE
Thanks to sam’s comment below I’ve checked the mophie website and they are showing October 15 as the ship date. “The Juice Pack for iPhone 3G is available for Pre-Order and will ship October 15th”.  It seems mophie keeps pushing back the release going from late september to early october and now to mid october.  C’mon Mophie, I need my juice!!! Also, the next 10 batch of mophie juice pack 3g contest winners will be announced on October 1st.

Mophie has a nice FAQ about the new juice pack that says it will be “available” October 15th, but it still says shipping in late september.

When will the juice pack for iPhone 3G be available?
- The juice pack for iPhone 3G will be available October 15th, 2008. Just in time to dress up your new iPhone 3G for Halloween!

When will you ship the Juice Pack 3G?
- We expect to ship the Juice Pack 3G in late September 2008.

Also, interesting is that the new juice pack will allow syncing through the juice pack.

———————————————————————-

It is confirmed the new mophie juice pack 3g for the iPhone 3g will be released on October 1st for preorders placed on or before September 8th and the 15th of October for all other orders.

In an email from Chad @ Mophie:

The 3G Juice Pack will begin shipping October 1st, with all preorders shipping first.”

Not sure how fast the first gen juice pack sold, but I assume since there is a lot more to do on the new iPhone 3g and the diminished battery life these new features bring this new juice pack will be in high demand. So if you want to make sure you get one October 1st you probably should jump on the preorder like I did!

So the When Will Mophie Juice Pack 3g Be Released poll is now closed, but check out these other these other polls for a chance to win a new iPod nano, $25 iTunes gift card, and apple $50 gift card.   These polls just had a fresh round of new rumors surrounding them which may or may not close these polls after the September 9th apple event.

Yeah, it seems the official date posted on the site is now October 30th! So I guess the preorders went from the October 1st to the 15th and the rest going from the 15th to the 30th?

I placed my order on September 2nd, and just received this email from Mophie. I’m tired of the run-around. I canceled my order.

We apologize, but there has been a slight delay in shipping your product. We know this is a much needed accessory for any serious iPhone user – with that in mind; we have made every effort to bring you this product as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality or performance. Part of our dedication to quality is to only introduce products to the market that are “Works with iPhone” certified by Apple. Unfortunately, part of this process is extensive testing at Apple certified facilities, which have queues that are often hard to predict.

I can assure you that your product is allocated and ready to ship as soon as final certification is received from Apple.

Current estimated ship date is: October 31st, 2008.

Thanks for the info Kevin. I ordered mine in late August and haven’t received any email saying it shipped or was delayed :(

Well, based on the email I got, it appears Mophie has them all stocked up and ready to go…or to quote them “I can assure you that your product is allocated and ready to ship”. I do believe that statement. The problem is how long it’s going to take Apple to certify them. No one will receive them I’m sure until they are certified.
