itunes 7.7.1 update is out…

late last night software update alerted me about the lastest version of itunes… the size of the file was 48mb for me, on mac… I think the pc version was about 29mb… I don’t see anything different with this update… perhaps is in preparation for the iphone 2.0.1 update? ideas anyone?

2 week wait for iphone 3g…

almost 3 week after launch, the iphone 3g is still hard to come by… someone I know just went to a nearby at&t store to purchase one and they told him it’s going to be 2 week before he gets his phone… a quick visit to at&t website and you’ll see this notice…

As of July 30, direct fulfillment customers are receiving their iPhone 3G, on average, 13 or 14 days following purchase.
Delivery times vary based on the specific model a customer chooses
(8 GB, 16 GB white, 16 GB black).

now, aren’t we glad we got ours on the first day?

mophie juice pack 3g pre-order?

UPDATE: Looks like it’s back online for pre-order now

I noticed the new mophie iPhone 3g juice pack on their website yesterday afternoon for $99.95 pre-order (same price as the current version). Although it showed it was available for pre-order you couldn’t select a color so you could not add it to the shopping cart as it would give you an error. I went back a couple hours later to make this post about it and now the page (http://www.mophie.com/products/juice-pack-iphone-3g) is gone.

macbook refresh details… or so they say…

we all know the macbook and macbook pro are up for a refresh… soon… but what will be new with the series? here is a short list of what to expect…

a glass multitouch trackpad… I wonder why glass… lcd maybe?
thinner more rounded body
aluminum construction… which makes sense following the design trend of the iMac and macbook air
use of centrino 2 chips
some other stuff?

and the best of all they are coming sometime in september… or so they say
