iOS 4.2 custom text tone, not so custom
by Justin Horn on Sep 17th, 2010 @ 3:35 am9to5Mac found a new feature in iOS 4.2 beta 1 that allows you to set a custom text tone per contact, but unfortunately just like the default text tone, the selection is limited to the built in sounds.

Agree with the comment “Custom Txt Tone not so custom.” Same old tired tones. Apple is trying to tease customers with small features. This is really sad. Then they wonder why people jailbreak their phones. Someone should come out with a statistic that shows the percentage of people with (and which phones) are jail broken more often. It would be no surprise that Apple probably tops that list.
