is apple loosening their approval process to allow more apps?
by Chiyin on Jan 14th, 2009 @ 11:37 amOver the last few weeks we’ve seen the approval of apps such as iFart and Pull My Finger… don’t get me wrong these are funny apps that I wished I thought of making… but they are definitely not something I thought Apple would approve… And now in an even more surprising move, web browsing apps are appearing in the store… Macrumors has a list of the available apps…
What really makes me wonder about them loosening the process is this app iTranslate. The app itself is nothing out of the ordinary, a translation tool that uses the Google translation engine, but there are a few funny bits about this app… The first thing you’ll notice is the icon, which is almost identical to the Translation widget in the Dashboard… And then there is this, the preview screenshot in the App Store
Do you notice anything funny? If you haven’t, look at the very top of the screenshot… Yep, it says T-Mobile… Maybe it’s just me, but I find this to be quite amusing…
