iPhone 3g: miami beach edition

as we promised… here are the pictures from the lincoln road launch…

tent guy and the other dude…
the storefront was covered up and there were 2 “iPhones” playing videos about the new phone at either side
at some point during the wait some drunk guys came over and offered us the new phone… right…
right after the drunk-iphone-salemen left the apple guys came out to setup the velvet ropes and asked us to move over to the middle of lincoln road away from the store front…
inside the velvet ropes…
around 6.30am apple guys came out and offered us some coffee and water… then it was back to waiting
as the sun started to rise so did the number of people waiting for the phone…
what did they have behind those black curtains you ask?
I think it was around 7.00 am when they came out to greet us…
by 7.15am the line starting to wrap around and extend beyond the ropes
at around 7.30am tent guy took down the tent and changed his name from tent guy to formerly known as tent guy..
as we got closer to 8am the line grew to the other side reaching starbucks…
the curtains came down and the doors opened…
we were inside the store…
then came the first glance and we were allowed to hold the phone for a few moment prior to getting our own…
uh… do you work here? I need an iphone

here is dizzy unboxing the phone and tatiana our rep helping us activate the phones… we were lucky enough to get our phones activated before iTunes started having problems…
as we walked out the store we looked back for a final glance… with our phones in hand of course…
